Mixed fortunes as Team Abba Racing returns to BGT

Lady Luck wasn’t shining on Team Abba Racing (Saturday 9th/Sunday 10th June) for the team's return to British GT for the championship’s blue riband Silverstone 500 round.

Great qualifying saw the team starting P5 with Adam Christodoulou the fastest pro driver in the GT3s and Richard Neary delivering his personal best qualifying time.

On race day Richard Neary took the car from P5 to 2nd before pitting after 60 minutes for Adam Christodoulou to take over and drive the car back up to P3.

With just over half the race left two bolts sheered from the top of the front suspension mounting and while Adam wrestled the car safely off the circuit and out of the race, the team was left to ponder how close it could have come to a podium position.

Some superb driving from Adam and Richard made the result even more disappointing.

The team is now considering a further round of the British GT Championship and will release information soon. Meanwhile next week (23rd June) the team will be at Oulton Park in Cheshire for the third round of the Dunlop Endurance Championship.
