Team Abba Racing enjoyed a top three finish this weekend (11th May) taking third place overall and 1st in class in the Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship.
Round three in the Championship took the team to Brands Hatch where Team Abba Racing's Sam and Richard Neary, in extremely hazardous racing conditions, managed to not only take 1st position in class but to steadily drive up the running order to finish third overall.
The Team Abba Racing BMW M3 GTR, class 4 car encountered challenging conditions - rain, sunshine, two safety cars and several racing incidents - but held out to secure a podium finish.
Race two was a different story however with the BMW's steering arm breaking halfway in, resulting in Sam Neary crashing out and the team taking no further part in the race.
Although disappointed with the second race result, the Team takes way valuable knowledge ahead of the car’s outing in the Creventic 24hr series in Brno in two weeks’ time.
The Dunlop Britcar Endurance Championship resumes in three weeks’ time at Donington (Saturday 1st June).
